There would be no Medicine of the Mother without the Wounds of the Maiden.

Dear One,

One thing we learned AGAIN and AGAIN in Maiden was the lesson of self care and nourishment.

TREES are some of the best MOTHER TEACHERS around.

Notice how they nourish up from the roots so they can give from their leaves.

And the more nourished they are, the stronger they are. The less nourishment they have, the more they'll fall for the slightest gust of wind.

Trees are ALWAYS receiving so they can give.

And EDD (every damn day) stuff is going to blow at us.

In Wounded Maiden, maybe we fell apart early and often.

In Mother Archetype, too much depends on us to fall apart.

And we have learned, we must have inner support and be able to depend on ourselves.

We can't let every gust of wind blow us over.

And in order for that to not happen, we must be Self Nourished. Constantly.

Check your source tank before doing anything. Are you self sourced? Do you know how to do so?

We know we can't drive on an empty tank, still we often enter the world, interact with others, without being self sourced.

In Wounded Maiden, maybe we often reached out for someone or something - some other Source-  to hold us up. And that never lasted. That was endless ups and downs.

In Mother, we check in with our own Source and we keep that Source strong and we keep it Steady.

And that's an eternal, internal connection.

Tree Medicine all starts with the ROOTS. It returns us back to the basics of the root chakra, which is ALL ABOUT self care, and of course our connection to The Mother: The Earth and our Bodies.

Do we feel safe? Do we feel grounded? Are our boundaries are in place?

Are we, like children, hungry, or cold, or tired?

We make sure we are well fed, as well slept as we can be, we take care of our bodies, and we take care of our souls, by loving in, checking in-- we stop, and ask in.

We ask ourselves like we would ask a friend, a child, a partner:

"What Do You Need Right Now?"

And in the silence, the answers come.

Tea, Sleep, Deep Breaths, even a rageful primal scream into the wind- sometimes all we have is just a Moment of Self Love and Care, before Offering ourselves to the World. But it matters immensely.

As always, the world is better off when we are taking care of ourselves, and always, we teach by example.

Here is the The Second Step to Stay In Mother:

If you break the Maiden to Mother Passage down by nature analogies, which I tend to do a lot when teaching the Maiden into Mother Journey: the Maiden is the Waxing Moon, the Energy of Becoming.

The Mother is the Full Moon, the energy of BEING.

So whenever we find ourselves overly regretting or romanticizing the past, OR whenever we find ourselves anxiously thinking or fretting or even dreaming too much of the future, we tend to be OUT of Mother.

The Mother's Throne is the Present. There, she has arrived, she has BLOOMED.

She is open to her life as it is, as its co- Creator, and she is in love with it. The Energy of Life moves through her as sacred vessel.

Also: The Mother Anchors + Affects all those in her orbit, so...

Her Serenity comes from her present state of mind, her being here nowness, and with that comes that energy of creation, gratitude, power and grace. Others are attracted to this essence like a bee to a flower.

And, as all those around her are all affected by the Mother's presence-  if she is anxious (worrying about the future), so is the room. If she depressed (the past) so is the room. If she is in Presence at Peace- you got it- so is the room.

To be in her Power, the Mother must be present. She can then bring others into their presence, where they are also in their power.

It is only in the present moment that we have the power to change our lives.

"STAY WITH ME,"- Love, The Present.

You've got this.

Step One

Welcome to the Seven Steps to Stay in Mother.

If you're here. You're on the bridge into the Fullness of Your Womanhood.

It's been a long road and your Maiden is exhausted. Let's Get Her Some Well Deserved REST.

Let's Start with Step One of Staying in the Mother Archetype.

Maybe the bills are piling up and you're panicking.

Maybe someone wrote you a nasty email or text or said it to you in person.

Maybe the unexpected had happened, the rug has been pulled out under your feet.

Maybe someone just made you really dang angry.

Or, they poked you in the shadow, or a wound that needs healing.

Maybe you got called out or felt "attacked" on ... Social Media, the place we so often feel triggered.

Or Maybe Maybe Maybe the State of the World has you panicked and depressed.

Maybe you feel left out or hurt or neglected, or your classic Wounded Maiden Abandonment Wound has been triggered.

Let's zoom in on that word, triggered.

Don't pull the trigger when you've been triggered.

This is time for the Mother to Rise + Pause. Gather herself, Gather her Maiden on her lap, + take control. If you react to the immediate feeling of being out of control, you will be even further out of control. Response puts our higher self back in control. The Wounded one wants to react. When we react from our woundedness, we become even more wounded.

The Mother will respond in a way that establishes boundaries and respect for all parties, first and foremost herself. The Mother will respond with Sacred Action.

She might even decide: Not to Respond at all.

But a reaction will cause a chain reaction.

Lemme tell you from the Personal: I have regretted EVERY time I reacted from Wounded Maiden. I have thanked the Goddess EVERY TIME I heard her nudge me to take the sacred pause and respond from my center and my Source.

SO MUCH wisdom can come into the space we create between the trigger and the response. This is where we allow for Spirit, or Mother Wisdom to create a healing response.

Someone told me once, for every one idea we have, God/dess has a million.

Stay Curious about your triggers, and Love In before Acting Out.
